Construction Accountant
Synergy Construction & Development is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our team.
Reports to:
President of Construction
As a Construction Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum accounting software is required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial acumen and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
- Assist with tax preparation and filing activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Utilize Viewpoint Spectrum accounting software to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
Skills/Specialized Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency with Viewpoint Spectrum accounting software required
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in financial data
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and other fundamental accounting concepts
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and multi-task across multiple projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction accounting; at least three years with Viewpoint Spectrum
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- Organized and detail oriented.

Project Manager/Estimator
Synergy Construction & Development is seeking an experienced Multi-Family Construction Project Manager/Estimator for our Bellevue, Washington office.
Reports to:
President of Construction
We are looking for an experienced leader in the construction industry to execute the pre-construction, estimating, and project management for $50MM+ mixed-use, multi-family projects. The Construction Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project. The position reports to the Vice President of Construction. This position requires providing leadership to the project team to meet or exceed project goals related to the quality, schedule, and budget for the project.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
- Coordinate subcontract solicitations and job walks
- Determine labor and construction equipment costs
- Prepare conceptual estimates
- Compare competitive trade bids
- Review preliminary quotes and pre-bid estimates
- Prepare subcontractor bid list and submit drawings to subcontractors
- Perform post-bid buyouts
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors
- Establish and maintain collaborative working professional relationships with the project design team, company field and office personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and governmental agencies overseeing the project.
- Administer contracts between Owner and General Contractor and General Contractor and Subcontractors and Vendors
- Manage value engineering efforts for the project
- Prepare and process all paperwork and documents to Owner, project design team and subcontractors in a timely and complete manner
Skills/Specialized Knowledge:
- Knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and safety practices
- Ability to communicate well in English both written and verbally.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and Viewpoint
- Strong organization, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to negotiate contracts, manage personnel, meet deadlines and goals, and maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and prioritize and multi-task while managing all aspects of current projects and estimating of future ones.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing mixed-use/multi-family construction projects
- Self-starting, self-motivated, effective time manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
